Mondays call for nutrient dense foods that are going to help inspire you to kick booty all week long. Today we're sharing a recipe that will do just that with a flood of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, fiber, and detoxifying chlorophyll from 3 ultra-green superfood mega stars: our Amazing Algae by Veggimins, Indian moringa, and farmers market-fresh green leafy kale. These greens, especially the Amazing Algae blend, also happen to be rich with highly absorbable plant based protein, because, ya know, those muscles aren't going to grow themselves. We also tossed in a little fresh ginger root for some added anti-inflammatory and detox support, as well as avocado and freshly stone ground nut butter to make it ultra creamy, and of course for those essential fats to keep your body fueled, your belly full, and your brain feeling sharp all week long.
Monday Green Machine Superfood Thickshake
1 handful frozen organic mango
1 handful frozen organic strawberries (or just more mango)
1 frozen banana
1 stalk leafy green kale, removed from the stem
1 tsp Veggimins Amazing Algae
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 inch chunk fresh ginger root, peel removed
1 cup almond milk - preferably raw and homemade
Optional: sweetener to taste - we used a few drops of liquid stevia
1. Blend ingredients until smooth then dig in and feel amazing!
